Fill Up All Available SPACE by l1901 Fill Up All Available SPACE by l1901
This is the fourth piece of the Client VS Designer series.
Fill Up All Available SPACE!

1st piece [link]
2nd piece [link]
3rd piece [link]

We all read ClientsFromHell.

We all know what clients are capable of when it comes to criticism. They can be mean, angry, stupid... usually unprofessional. They hired us to do the job. The right way.

Please, let us do it. We are professionals, we know what we are doing.

The last lines of the poster reads:
"You hired me. I am here to HELP you. I am the designer. I have been learning it for more years than you did. Hear me out. I have my reasons why I did what I did. If you do not want my services that is fine. However, since you hired me, please, please, please let me help. That is my job. To help YOU. Anyway, I am sick of the ‘make it bigger’, ‘make it pop’, ‘fill out the empty space’, ‘use more colors’, ‘make it a certain color because that is my favorite’, ‘I hate that color, change it’ ... and many more."

Feel free to download this high resolution poster. (2480×3508 – 300 DPI) Please, let me know if you did. I'm just curious, nothing else. ;)

very well put, you gotta love lol
why they expect unlimited revisions?????
l1901 Featured By Owner Aug 11, 2011
I guess those clients try to get unlimited revisions at a dentist. "I'm very sorry but it is just not quite the white I was looking for. Try again with the money I paid before."

Wow... I didn't think my entire career could be communicated so clearly on one poster.

White space surely is easy on the eye. :)

I really like it! And it's so very true. :( I'm only a student at the moment, but I've seen clients often tell my advisers (Who are graphic designers) to do some of the stuff you described. It's really hard to work your best when people seem to think they know more about it then you do, and they don't have the experience you have. Pleasing the customer and doing your best... It seems damn near impossible.

Plus you have to educate them. Gently. God, I guess it IS impossible. Just don't get discouraged! :)
